Hello, I am mukunoki's owner, toshio!
mukunoki is one of the many shopping services located in Japan.
However, there are 2 things mukunoki can pride itself on:

1. Shopping Service site for Music Genre
2. Trust relationship with Customers

My sister took my hand when I was about to cry and went into the darkish room.
Now I realized my parents argued every nights.

I don't remember the time when I was a kid. I was afraid of something all the time.

Being home, my parents argued….argued.　
I often went to my grandmother's house where 10 minutes away from my house by walk to had dinner with my sister.

Hi, gramma! I am hungry. What's for dinner?
"OK. How about curry？"

I sat on grampa's knee, had dinner watching TV program, this was everyday thing.

Friday nights were movie days.

Hurry, hurry! The movie starts, sis!
Yes, Fridays from 21:00 were movie days. The night's movie was The Goonies.
From the next day, I played like The Goonies with friends at school.
After I came home, I sang the song good enough with my sister.

The US is great! Let's go to America, sis!
I think I've been interested in other countries since the time.

”The CD changed my life”
Which CD did your life change?

I think everybody has a special CD.
Of course, I have one.

When I was in grade 9, it was a bigboom listening to English songs with my friends.
"Toshio, you want to go to CD store today?”　　OK, I will catch up. See you later.
Dean, it was the name of our CD store.

There was café next to Dean, so going there after school was daily thing.


”Look at this CD!　
Smash hit in America!　Robyn- robyn is here

The jacket of the CD…a girl was in a box.　
"What is this？"
What the…but this is smash hit in America!
I lost restraint and took 2500yen from the wallet. I bought the CD.


I took off my uniform and set the CD, and chacking the lyrics book.
There were the words like…
"The artist from robyn　sweden. She started singing when she was 13 years old and debut when she was 16."

16? Singer?
I was 15 at the time.
I felt someone hit my head using a huge hammer.　
Then I was jealous to the 16 years old girl, famous Robyn.


I want to see her, the artist 16 years old, Robyn. I want to go to her concert.
At the time, I decided to go to America after graduating feom school.　

”The cue for starting Mukunoki”
I dropped out from university in 2004.
One million yen.　I saved up this much of money with 1 year.

I changed the money to dollars in an airpot and I went to Canada. It was very cold day of January.
I was looking outside, I felt it was sparkling, from the window.


The second month in Canada, I went to ESL school but I realized a thing right away.
My money does't last for a year.
Is there any ways that I don't have to spend money but learning English…
It was in Febuary but it was hot in bus because of the heater, I was playing with the window and was thinking about it.



I am home.
Hello, Toshio. How was the school?
At the time, I was living with the host family,
so I asked her with my poor English.


”Can you think of any ways that I can learn English without going to school?"
But most mother's answer was unthinkable.
"Toshio, why you came all the way to Canada and thinking to go to ESL school?"


I was shocked.
Yeah, I should gather up Canadians!
One week later, I opened Japanese class at the Starbucks in Toronto.
And then, I met the cue for starting Mukunoki, a girl named Michelle.


Michelle was a university student who loved J-rock.
6 years ago, there was only one store sells J-rock items.
（And so expensive!!)　


Toshio! Please buy the CD for me! Please!!
Michelle was a pretty girl so I didn't think about anything and just told her "ok,ok!"
I told her "OK" but I was sarching it on the websites for 2 hours, but couldn't find it…
So there was only one choice that I had to ask my friend in Japan to sent it to Canada.


"Thank you for the CD, Toshio! Toshio is the bridge between Japan and I."


After I came back to Japan, the words Michelle told me "Toshio is the bridge between Japan and I",
this words were cue to open Mukunoki, in 2006.
